For more than two decades, I've immersed myself in the wellness space, always asking one question:
Why is the body doing what it's doing?
That question led me to functional medicine, the gut-brain connection, nervous system regulation, and years of helping people untangle complex digestive patterns. It also led me here.
When I choose to bring a new tool into my work, it has to earn its place.
Why frequency?
This is probably the question you're asking. After spending years teaching gut health, why would I introduce frequency wellness?
Because the more I learned about the communication happening throughout the body, the more obvious it became that we can't separate digestion from regulation, circulation, recovery, or the nervous system.
Everything is connected.
That doesn't mean frequency replaces the foundations. It means I believe it deserves a place alongside them.
The standard behind what I choose to include in my ecosystem
There is no shortage of wellness products promising incredible results. (I’m always looking for “the latest thing”.) That's never been enough for me.
Before I share a new product, tool or even supplement, I want to understand the physiology. I read the research. I ask whether it complements the work I'm already doing instead of distracting from it. Most importantly, I ask whether it helps me serve my clients better.
If the answer isn't yes...
It doesn't become part of my ecosystem. That's exactly how Gut Frequency Lab came to be.
THE EVIDENCE FREQUECY RESEARCH GUIDE
Go deeper into the research behind the framework.
Frequency Foundations is designed to help you understand the landscape of frequency wellness and ask better questions about the tools you encounter.
The Frequency Research Guide takes you deeper into the evidence behind that conversation, with 30 carefully selected peer-reviewed studies, scientific reviews, and regulatory resources spanning PEMF, red and near-infrared light, sound and vibration, terahertz, bioelectric signaling, the gut-brain connection, and device safety.
Along the way, I explain why each source matters, what the research actually supports, and where the science still leaves room for questions.
This isn’t research assembled to make frequency wellness sound more impressive. It’s research selected to help you become more discerning about what deserves your attention.

Behind the Lab - Meet Jen
Gut Frequency Lab is curated by me, Jen Yundt Coles, functional medicine & integrative health coach, and founder of The SIBO Coach LLC.
I’m an educator and self-proclaimed physiology nerd and bio-hackers. I live at the intersection of the gut-brain axis, nervous system regulation, and strategic resilience. After decades navigating my own complex digestive and inflammatory patterns, I built a systems-based approach that moves beyond protocol hopping into structured, sustainable transformation.
My superpower isn't finding the next trendy product. It's recognizing patterns. I zoom out, connect the dots, and help people make sense of complex gut health through a functional medicine lens. That’s the same perspective I bring to every device I choose the feature here.
